Chrysler E-Class
This was Chrysler’s corporate companion to the Dodge 600/Plymouth Caravelle. It was slotted just below the New Yorker in the pecking order. It shared the ’83 New Yorker’s K-car platform, 4-door configuration, and 103.3″ wheelbase. Powering it was a standard 2.2L 2bbl I4. This engine made 94hp and 117 ft/lb torque. Optional was a 2.6L 2bbl Mitsubishi I4, which made just 93hp, but more torque @ 132 ft/lb.
