Plymouth Caravelle Salon

Caravelle Salon
The Salon was the top model in the Caravelle series which debuted for 1978. It was offered in Canada only, but was cousin to the M-body Dodge Diplomat. At first it was offered only in 4-door sedan and 2-door coupe styles. Even a t-top option was offered on the coupes.

The 1980 cars were refreshed with new lighting and smoother lines. A station wagon version was added this year too. As we go forward to 1983, the Caravelle Salon took on a new role at Plymouth. With the debut of the new front wheel drive Caravelle, the Salon stuck around on its M-body platform. At this point, it was just a 4-door sedan in layout.
