Grand Safari

The Grand Safari was Pontiac’s most luxurious wagon. The general appearance duplicated that of the Bonneville. In 1973-1974, the 455 CID 4bbl V8 was standard, with a dual exhaust version being an option.


For 1975-1976, a 400 CID 2bbl V8 was standard, with a 400 CID 4bbl V8 and 455 CID 4bbl V8 being the options. Only single exhaust versions were available.

The car was substantially updated for 1977. As of this generation, the 301 CID 4bbl V8 was standard. Optionally were a 350 CID 4bbl V8, and 403 CID 4bbl V8. The final year for the Grand Safari was 1978, as the top wagon was simply called Bonneville Safari as of the next year.
