First sold in 1976 as a way for Ford to attach itself to the van craze of the timeframe, this van was primarily based on the short wheelbase version of the E150. The van would be prepped at the factory for aftermarket modifications. The final upgrades would happen at the local level before the van would be delivered to the customer, per their exact specifications.
