The Fiesta was offered in North America form 1978-1980. It was imported via Ford of Germany. While the German version had the more effective Euro-style lighting, the N.A. version offered only round sealed beam headlamps. The only body style we got here was a 3-door hatchback.
Powering it was a 1.6L Inline-4. Ford was up front about the car’s zero to sixty time of 8.8 seconds. They also bragged about the 46 miles per gallon the car made. The new “World Car”, the Escort, took over in 1981 for this car and the Pinto.
