Dodge St. Regis
Made from 1979-1981, the St. Regis was not a big sales hit. Engine offerings were the 225 CID 1bbl S6, 318 CID 2bbl V8, 318 CID 4bbl V8 and 360 CID 4bbl V8. A Notable feature on this model were the transparent retractable headlamp covers similar to those on the ’78/’79 Dodge Magnum.
A police package was offered for law enforcement use, but the St. Regis was not well received in the police market either, mainly due to the fact of being one of the slowest police cars of all time. This is irony at its finest considering the Monaco it replaced was one of the fastest police cars of all time.
