GMC S15
The S15 was introduced for the 1982 model year. It was cousin to the Chevrolet S10 and was GMC’s first compact truck. Engines this year were an 84hp 1.9L 2bbl Isuzu I4 and a 110hp 2.8L 2bbl Chevrolet V6. Torque was 101 and 148 respectively on each.
1983, the final year we cover, saw the advent of a 4-wheel drive option and an extended cab version. A new 83hp 2.0L 2bbl I4 was added to the order sheet. Torque was 108ft/lbs. Also late in the model year, a 2.2L Diesel Isuzu I4 was a new option. it was rated at 58hp, 93tq.
