Caravelle Salon
Salon was the top model in the Caravelle series which debuted for 1978. It was offered in Canada only, but was an M-body and cousin to the Dodge Diplomat. At first it was offered in 4-door sedan and 2-door coupe styles. A t-top option was even offered on the coupes.
The 1980 cars were refreshed with new lighting and smoother lines. A station wagon version was added to the Salon this year. As we fast-forward to 1983, the Caravelle Salon took on a new role at Plymouth. With the debut of the new front wheel drive Caravelle, the Salon stuck around on its M-body platform. At this point, it was only sold as a 4-door sedan.
